Sunny Southern Wedding ~ with Tie That Binds & Photographix

We have a real treat for you, today! We were lucky enough to work with Erin and George on their custom invitation suite, and couldn’t be happier with the beautiful images taken by The Photographix. Not only did they capture images of our products, they took fantastic images of the day itself!

Reception: Covington Chamber Center, TN

Description From the Bride:

Three adjectives that describe the wedding day are:

Laid back, sunny, and filled with love.

Our favorite detail of the wedding was:

We opted for seeing each other before the wedding, and it was great. It made us both so calm and we were able to enjoy our vows without the jitters of seeing each other for the first time. It was also our favorite moment of the whole wedding.

Tell us about finding your wedding dress:

I found my dress while browsing online. I emailed The Bride Room in Nashville, they got it in for me, I tried it on and it was perfect!

Tell us about choosing your wedding invitations:

For our invitations and other stationery, we contacted Tie That Binds. We discussed our family background and color preferences. I really wanted a suite that would work with our garden reception (in the plans at the time!) and also reflect a bit of my fiance’s Lebanese background. Tie That Binds ended up doing our invitations, RSVP’s, programs, thank you cards, and wine labels. It made everything so cohesive. We received so many compliments on the invitations, I couldn’t believe people paid so much attention to them.

What Southern details or traditions did you include in your celebration?

We tried to make our wedding a little different. We didn’t want the tradition wedding songs so we had the wedding party come in to Ave Marie. I walked in with my Dad to The Theme Song from Romeo & Juliet, and the Processional was to Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis. You can’t have a southern wedding without a little Elvis! :)

Describe your wedding flowers:

Our flowers were cream & yellow. We didn’t have a big budget for flowers, so we went with something simple and elegant.

Describe your wedding cake:

Instead of the traditional wedding cake, we had for a dessert bar! We had a variety of cupcakes, tarts, cookies, chocolate covered marshmallows, & baklava designed by Sarah Moske at Monkey Bread Bakery.

Tell us about your wedding vendors:

We could not have asked for better wedding vendors. The Photographix was recommended by my Mother-In-Law and we were so happy with the results. They did a fantastic job capturing the important moments and the overall feeling of our wedding day. Our photos are wonderful!

Cotton Boll Catering provided the food. They are old family friends helped my station food plan come to life.

Southern Event Planners pulled everything together and was a big help last minute when we had to move our reception locations because of rain. Definitely the best money spent!

What was the biggest challenge you had to overcome while planning your wedding?

Definitely the guest list. Being from a small town, there was no way to keep the numbers down. But it was all worth it in the end!
