Paper Snowflakes for Sandy Hook

SnowflakesforSandyHook

If there is anything I love more than pretty paper things, it’s seeing people show LOVE to each other. I think that’s also why I get so much joy from working in weddings.

In the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting, I’m hoping you all will help us show love in the same way.

A building has been designated to house the students as they move forward with their school year. They are in the process of transporting desks, chairs, supplies and so forth to this location. The Newtown PTA met on monday to discuss what can be done to make these children feel comforted upon their return to school.

Please join us in “The Snowflake Project”.

They are asking anyone you know- students, children, coworkers, families, etc., to make and decorate a snowflake. They will be hung in the hallways at the stark, new building where the Sandy Hook students will be returning. PLEASE NO WORDS! We want just a cheerful, happy (glitter and sparkle) environment for the students entering the new building.

When you send your snowflakes, please include a note to tell us where they are from (your school, class, town, etc) to display along with your snowflakes. You can send them to this contact:

Connecticut PTSA
60 Connolly Parkway
Building # 12, Suite 103
Hamden, CT 06514

And for those of you have forgotten how to do them, visit this DIY tutorial from Strumpet’s Crumpets.
So excited to help this go viral! Leave us a comment with your plans, and please SHARE!
